Australia's first annual Good Food Show has all the ingredients of a world class expo. Celebrity chef guests include Luke Mangan of Salt, British seafood master Rick Stein and Naked Chef Jamie Oliver. And it's not just food on show either, there's wine, cookware and plenty of tips for creating fine cuisine.

The Good Food Show has something for everyone. Cooking enthusiasts can collect new recipes and see the latest kitchen gadgets, while food lovers can sample dishes made by world famous chefs. With more than 200 exhibitors and a dozen guest chefs, the show caters to all tastes.

Based on a similar expo held in the UK by the BBC, the Good Food Show is Australia's largest public food exhibition. The event has been organised by Australian Exhibition Services and Consumer Exhibitions Ltd., and is backed by ABC television, Gourmet Traveller and The Age.

Celebrity chefs include Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein from the UK, plus Jacques Reymond, Elizabeth Chong and Gabriel Gate. They will provide a series of demonstrations, including recipes from their latest books and/or television shows. Their Australian peers include Luke Mangan of Salt and Paul Wilson of Radii, who will showcase their signature dishes.

The Good Food Show is a shopper's heaven, with everything from cookware to Cabernet under one roof. There are live demonstrations enabling visitors to watch chefs at work. This is the perfect way to see how they work with utensils and ingredients and pick up some handy tips.

Of course it's not just food and cookware on display. One popular venue is the World of Wine, Beer and Spirits, which is like a show on its own. This includes a Wine Tasting Theatre, where wines, spirits and beers can be tasted. Experts are also on hand to share advice and knowledge.

If you missed this year's Good Food Show, don't panic, the plan is to make it an annual event. Tickets start at $10.
