1
If your dog smells or looks dirty and you don't have time for a wash, simply use bi-carbonate of soda and dry-clean your dog!
Sprinkle the bi-carbonate of soda liberally over its coat (avoid the head) and then rub it in and through the coat. Then just brush it off thoroughly.

2
To keep fleas at bay, try using mint leaves or fresh pine needles around the affected areas such as the kennel. It won't break the breeding cycle of fleas but it will keep them away for the life of the mint. Salt can also be put into the cracks of the kennel to help stop fleas.
Of course, the best way to kill fleas is to use commercial pesticides and also to vacuum the carpet, daily-especially were the dog sleeps.

3
To stop your dog from sleeping or jumping on the furniture, place a piece of aluminium foil on the sofa/chair seat. Dogs will be frightened by the rustle of the foil when they jump on it and will quickly learn not to go there.

4
Stop the puppy from chewing that leg from your favourite chair by simply rubbing some Oil of Cloves around the legs of the chair. Puppies won't like the smell or taste of the oil and will stop attacking the chair legs.
