You've no doubt heard the old saying that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Well, it's certainly true of the Sydney Antique Centre, one of the largest collections of some of the most diverse antiques in the country.
The Sydney Antique Centre was established in 1974, looked more like a trash and treasure market. Today, it houses more than 50 different stores, which hold fascinating antiques and trinkets, including china tableware from the Victorian era, antique jewellery, coins and crystal.
The variety of items for sale is staggering. The antiques range in size and price from a 19th-century gilt mirror for $85,000 to old postcards for $1. If it's something from a bygone era, then the Sydney Antique Centre will probably have it. |
