Mandie, a single mum with two daughters, sent the winning entry and asked Shane to be her decorating assistant.
Mandie drew Bedroom 4, one of the smaller rooms in the house and designed it as a teenage girl's room. Two walls were painted Dulux Crystal Apple, a clear pale green (Chip number 87) and the remaining two were painted Dulux Jockey, a bright baby blue (Chip number 341). The ceilings, architraves and trimmings were left white.
The room was accessorised with hot pink and baby pink as well as the blue
and green. White was the main accessory colour with a white cast iron day bed
and linen. A timber drawer unit with baskets for storage and a mozzie net, organza swag and a shell curtain for the window completed the look. Mandie's aim for the room was to make it bright and fresh. |
