This Bondi Bachelor Pad is full of the latest electronic gadgets, but it's missing a woman's touch. So, Tara's stepping in to add some warmth to this boys' domain. Where better to start than the hub of the house — the lounge room.

This lounge room is home to three 30-year-old guys. It's clean and tidy, but the boys admit it could be a bit more homely. Luckily, the room and furniture are in good condition, so all the lounge needs is a little TLC and some personal touches.

The main problem area is the corner of the room, which is filled with CDs, videos and games. So, we're moving the television to this spot, and giving the speakers a new look. The speakers are pretty big, so they can be easily converted into side stands for a shelving unit.

To give the speakers a more sophisticated look, the brown laminate has to come off. After a quick sand, a cream base coat is applied, then the speakers are finished in Raw Sienna to create a sandstone effect.

Next, Tara's giving an old coffee table from the garage a facelift. This is simple with a new pine tabletop, and best of all, it cost just $10 to restore. Some hebel bricks (aerated concrete) can be cut to make attractive candle holders and with a hole saw and chisel, can be cut into any shape.

The fireplace is out of order, but that doesn't mean we can't use it. White ivory pebbles and assorted candles fill the space nicely. Finally, throws for the couch, cushions and calico curtains add the finishing touch.
