| Sala Rooms |
| Take the indoors outside with a sala room, a fantastic idea that combines the best of both worlds! |

1 Sala, a word from the ancient Sanskrit language, means an outdoor room which is incorporated under the roof of the house.
2 Salas have either half-walls or no walls at all, which gives plenty of natural light and allows any breezes to flow through. Basically, the kitchen and meal rooms open up onto the sala, with glass doors and windows, while the floor and ceiling follow the same line.
3 Salas are very versatile and provide a relaxed, protected area out in the fresh air. They are also good if your backyard does not have a view, as they create a courtyard feel, while expanding living areas and screening neighbours' fences and homes.
