| Craig Arundel gives old Australian timber new life. |
1 Craig Arundel fell into full-time furniture-making after building a table for a friend. He is self-taught and now can't imagine working at anything else.
2 Craig currently enjoys working with recycled Australian hardwoods from the 1930s and '40s. The harsh Australian environment is reflected in these old pieces of timber. Wherever possible, Craig salvages the timber for his pieces from demolition sites. He likes to know where the timber has come from, its surroundings, its uses and its condition. Its history inspires his work.
3 Craig is available for commissions and works very closely with his clients to make sure they get exactly what they want.
