Handi Rack is a brand new Australian product that was awarded a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
Handi Rack is an inflatable roof rack for cars. The majority of modern cars do not have gutters to clamp a roof rack onto, and until the advent of Handi Rack, its manufacturers say, the alternative has been an expensive moulded rack supplied by the car manufacturer.
Handi Rack is made from a nylon-coated PVC which its makers say is virtually indestructible.
The kit includes a carry pack of an assortment of ropes and octopus straps. When not in use, Handi Rack can be deflated and stored in the boot until it's required.
Handi Rack has been tested to carry 80kg at 120kph.
