The times are changing in the world of building and the new demands of homeowners, developers, architects and designers have resulted in the production of Slick Brick. Developed to make building faster, easier, cheaper and stronger, you can now be in your own home quicker than you'd expect.
Slick Brick was launched November 26th 1999 in a variety of trade publications. It has proven effective in many areas of construction such as residential housing, multi unit construction, inter-tenancy walls and bigger projects such as multi- storey development work. The range is available through Austral, Australia's leading brick manufacturers.
Innovative engineering has led to the development of these bricks. The laying is at least twice as fast as ordinary bricks, saving money and time. Also, minimal experience is needed due to the new easy method of laying. There are many sizes and designs available and Austral also supplies a wide range of accessories.
The bricks are interlocking on the vertical sides with shallow tongue and groove
ends providing horizontal alignment. The bricks use the Slick Brick Adhesive on the horizontal surface and the joints are approximately 1mm thick. Available in three thicknesses - 90,110,and 150mm, Slick Brick ensures rapid wall construction with heights up to three times more than a conventional brick. |
