Linda Edwards and her daughter Simone operate a Gold Coast company called “Capture It”. Linda has come up with her own line of cleaning products, with the brand name “It's OK”. Her products are Australian made, naturally based and are environmentally friendly, without the use of harsh chemicals. They also work out cheaper than standard supermarket cleaning products.
Linda found many people spent a large portion of their shopping bill on cleaning products, so she decided to create a range that was cost effective. She says her products are just what homemakers have been waiting for. As one recent example, a Mudgeeraba housewife with a family of 6 children is saving $100 per month and is extremely happy with the product range. She finds it just as good as (if not better than) the products she's been using. Her products went on sale at the end of February 1999 and she now has 5 distributors and many repeat customers.
Linda's Products
They mainly contain seaweed, coconut oil, sugar cane and citrus fruits and all are "readily biodegradable". They are based on natural or renewable resources. Linda sells a set of three, natural based products that will replace around 9 different types of “brand”. Apart from being cheaper, they are more versatile and come in a concentrated form. The 3 products are:

Blue Squirt Laundry Liquid. This doesn`t contain phosphates and is pH neutral
which means additional savings on fabric softeners and wool wash products as the fabric softener is built in. It is suitable for delicates, woollens and synthetics.

Golden Coconut Squirt. This is a multi purpose detergent and is also pH neutral. Apart from “doing” the dishes and floors, it is a terrific substitute for other products such as car wash detergent. It is also safe to use as a hair and body wash. Linda says you can also use it for washing clothes although it doesn`t include any “whiteners”.

Green Citrus Squirt. This is an all purpose bathroom and kitchen cleaner that just wipes on and rinses off. Linda says that your bathroom and stainless steel appliances will sparkle. It's also anti-bacterial.
Linda has had much interest in her new products and is now looking for a company to buy from her in bulk and market and distribute the product overseas.

Cost
Linda carried out a survey based on the average family of 4, shopping
fortnightly. Linda's products work out at least half the price of standard
brands.

Detergent: $3.00 $1.50
Bathroom and Kitchen: $5.00 $1.50
Laundry Liquid: $5.50 $1.50
The products are sold as a concentrate in 500ml bottles with 500ml dispensers.
Mix 50ml with water to make 500ml of cleaner. 500ml costs $1.50.
All 500ml concentrates are $16 each. Buy a set of 3 for $45 and you get your dispensers free of charge.
