Repelon UV is a recent Australian product which can be sprayed on your soft furnishings so that they retain their looks and original colouring. In other words, it prevents your carpets and curtains from fading.
The fabrics and upholstery must first be cleaned by professionals before the treatment is applied. The main features of this product are:

It prevents fading caused by UV rays by absorbing them, in a similar way to sunscreens for the skin. When dry it will bond with the fibres, coating them for protection.

It reduces the rate at which your carpets and lounges will wear. It can increase the life of your carpet by up to 25 percent: equal to about three years' wear on average.

It is anti-bacterial, preventing germs and other nasties from lingering in carpets, etc, that can't be vacuumed up. This is great for families with young children. It will keep carpets free of bacteria between professional cleaning.

It prevents the development of fungus and mould in fabrics.

Cost
Prices vary depending on the treatment you require. As a guide:
$5 per square metre for carpets, curtains and blinds, $30 per seat for fabric lounges, from $50 per seat for leather lounges.
