Using a combination of photography and computer technology, Savva Photography has developed an interactive product called Surround Vision, which allows you to explore a three-dimensional picture of a home.

Using a digital camera, up to 25 individual photographs are taken of every room in the house. The digital camera doesn’’t use film; instead, the image is stored on a card. Later, the shots are downloaded from the card onto a computer.

The photographs taken from a digital camera overlap and provide a 360-degree view of the room. Once the shots have been downloaded onto the computer, you can take a "tour" of the entire house. Just click on the icon to take you to the lounge room or living area. To take a closer look, you can zoom in as you choose. Alternatively, you can zoom out to take in the whole room. Instead of using the icons on the screen to move about the house, you can simply click on the room as you move through it.

Your virtual house can be uploaded to the World Wide Web to enable prospective buyers anywhere in the world to stroll through it at their leisure. Alternatively, it can be made into a CD-ROM or floppy disk to be viewed on a home computer. It’’s also a great way to keep a permanent record of the family home and all its contents.
