| Card Table Cubby |
| Kids can make a cubby out of just about anything. Sometimes it can be as simple as a couple of chairs and a sheet. Here's an easy design for a fabric cubby that will slip straight over the top of a card table. |

Our cubby is designed to fit over a standard 73cm-square, 63cm-high card table, but the measurements can be adjusted to fit any table.
1 First, cut all your pieces of material to the correct size. You can adjust the measurements to suit your needs.
2 Once all the pieces have been cut out, you can start sewing them together along the shorter edges.
3 Sew the back piece to the two side pieces.
4 Before attaching the two front flaps, sew a piece of hemmed bias binding into the seam halfway up the side. This is so that the front flaps can be tied back.
5 Once that is done, hem the remaining sides of the front panels by turning the material under 1 cm, twice and sewing along the fold. Again, pop in some bias binding for the other tie-back.
6 Next, use a zig-zag stitch to stop the side seams from fraying and then hem the entire length of the bottom by turning it under 1cm twice.
7 Pin the top piece into place, right sides together, centering the openings in the middle of one edge, overlapping slightly. Then stitch the top into place and neaten the raw edges with a zig-zag stitch.
