Hosting a wedding can be an expensive business. And with a major renovation in progress, Ray and Natasha need to cut costs where they can.
That's where the Our House team can help together Tara and Natasha have designed and created their own 'personalised' wedding invitations. The end result is a stylish production on a 'shoe string' budget.
We follow the step-by-step and admire their creations!
The first step is to create your copy. We did this on Natasha's office computer at Design Palace. You need to play around and choose your desired font. Next step is to choose your paper. You'll need a paper that is thin enough to run through your printer. We chose parchment paper in Buff.
Natasha's wedding theme will be based on a 'Russian banquet'. We've chosen to extend this theme to the wedding invitations and have used a gold glitter spray to create a 'rich and stylish' invitation.
Simply coat the pages with gold glitter spray and wait to dry. The next step is to add a Fleur de Lys stamp at the top of the invitation. For others we used a wax seal, melted with a heat gun and stamped with a shield.
Finally we folded the invitations and trimmed with a ribbon and pin. The end result... an inexpensive, personal and creative wedding invitation.
