Once you've created your design, print out the image on the transfer paper.
Trim excess paper, leaving a border of about 0.5cm all round.
It is best to use a cotton or cotton-blend material in a light colour. The iron-on cool-peel transfer paper allows you to transfer your images to T-shirts, sweatshirts, tablecloths, napkins and aprons, among other things. We chose to make a design on a dinner napkin.
Iron the cloth to ensure there are no wrinkles in the material.
Place the transfer on the material and using a very hot iron (no steam), iron the transfer in place.
Allow to cool. Then peel away the backing.
There is also a special Epson canvas cloth that is designed for printing. Depending on the make of your inkjet printer, you may only be able to use the canvas in it occasionally. A 3m roll costs around $130. You can use it to make all sorts of items, including a lamp cover. You can also use it to print a treasured artwork and create your own canvas masterpiece.
