Here's an attention-grabber: a "naughty" doll that adds colour and personality to any room in the house, using a pre-made wooden frame and some simple materials.

1
Using wire cutters, cut the hook off the coat hanger. Flatten out one of the elbows so you can thread it through the holes at the top of the wooden frame to form the arms. Once threaded, bend the wire back into its original position, then pull the elbow ends down. Using wire cutters, shape both ends of the wire to create loops for the hands.

2
Bandage a strip of wadding from the hand loop up to the top of the arm, back to the hand again and tuck in the end of the wadding. Repeat for the other arm, making sure both arms are even. This is how you "pad out" your doll.

3
Wrap another strip of wadding under the crotch in a figure eight. Wrap the remaining length of wadding down the leg (do not cover the foot), back up again and tuck the ends under. Repeat with a second strip of wadding to cover the other leg.

4
Wrap wadding from the top of the crotch up to the shoulders and tuck in near the neck. This gives the body more fullness.

5
Dress the padded body with the pantyhose, being careful not to move the padding. Tie the back and front of the top of the pantyhose in a knot
between the nails. Then hook the ends of the knot over the nails, piercing the stocking. Stretch out the stocking and knot the bottom of the legs under each foot and cut off. The excess is used for the arms.

6
Add padding to the lower arms and shoulders by wrapping more wadding. Cover the arms with the left-over stockings, tie the ends and then place the ends of the knot over the nails. Use small rubber bands to secure in place at the wrist. Make sure the toe of the stocking is not seen, and is tucked under the band.

7
Dress your doll with the clothes, except for shoes and hat. If you don't have any "hand-me-downs", you can buy some from a second-hand store.

8
Place a section of wadding in each shoe to pad out the toes. Then place a dob of glue in the shoe and push the bottom of the leg in firmly and allow to dry.

9
Place the knee-high stocking over the foam ball and knot the end under the head and cut off any excess stocking close to the knot. Press the ball onto the nails, take off and apply glue where the indentations are on the
polystyrene and press the head firmly back into place.

10
Turn the hat upside down. Apply glue inside the rim to stick the hair down and then turn it all (hat and hair) upside down and position on the head. Your "naughty" doll can now be "punished" by standing her in the corner of a room, facing inwards towards the corner.
