Dogue is a shop specialising in haute couture for dogs. Based in Woollahra, Sydney, Simone Bushby kicked off this fashion store for pets after trying in vain to find a quality winter jumper for her own dog.
Realising that there was a demand for innovative and fun products, she started to source them, both locally and overseas, and began to sell a whole range of accessories and giftware for dogs.
Simone now has most of her products made in Australia under her direction. Local art, pet photography and some other dog-related products are taken on consignment. Many are unique to her store.
You can also have designs made to order. Pet beds, in a range of fabrics, can be made to match your home décor, bowls to match your dinner set and "clothes" custom designed. Dog outfits include everything from netting and sequined tutus to suits and hats. Decorated bowls sit on their own timber stands alongside poultry flavoured toothpaste and jewelled tooth and hair brushes.
Some of the more unusual requests include a dog collar designed to match bridesmaids' dresses for a wedding and also a wedding gown for a doggy "wedding".
Simone also runs dog "birthday" parties and can supply everything from invitations, party hats, party food and cakes. Special "fun" Christmas parties are also arranged for dogs and customers alike, the profits going to animal charities.
And even if your dog is on its last paws, it can go out with a trendy funeral, using cremation urns from Simone's shop.

Cost
Dog beds range from $100 to $600, coats, raincoats, etc from $20 to $80, fancy dress attire from $40, bowls from $35 to $50, collars from $10 to $60. Ordinary products are at a comparable price to other non-designer pet sores.
