Victoria Spring is a jeweller who began her working career as a press photographer for The Australian newspaper. At the age of 26 she travelled the world and settled in Scotland where her interest in jewellery making took hold.

Her first piece was made from pieces of buried china that she found in her Scottish backyard. The response to her amazing creations led to an exhibition at the Edinburgh Festival. Victoria returned to Australia in 1987, where her business boomed.

With a team of 15 people working for her, Victoria creates tableware and jewellery, mainly for the home. She also has outlets in New Zealand, London and Paris. The range and style is opulent and jewel encrusted, giving any table a regal appearance.

Items in her homewares range include cutlery, plates, goblets, egg beaters, candelabra, chandeliers, candle snuffers and letter openers. Her influences are inspired by ages past including the Medieval, Baroque and Florentine periods as well as the 1930s and '40s. Using old pieces means that her work is constantly changing.

Victoria uses mainly brass and gold as this creates a quality base to start from. Added to this is added the amazing jewels, china and other pieces that Victoria has fossicked from second hand shops and markets around the globe. Hence, Victoria is known as a master in the art of recycling.

Pop stars, actors and millionaires are all enthusiastic customers of Victoria Spring Designs. Famous clients include Sir Elton John, Paula Yates, Jeremy Irons, Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Kym Wilson and Wendy Matthews. Sir Elton recently commissioned Victoria for a 16 piece table set for his mansion in the South of France. This took six weeks for her team to complete.
