NATURAL WOOD FINISH: Can anyone tell me what I should use for a natural oil finish on wood projects?

Danish oil gives a beautiful and protective finish to wood or as an alternative you can try good old beeswax. I have some which also contains eucalyptus oil, that I used on an old table I sanded back. There is a light smell of eucalyptus in the room.
